60 Series
Land Cruiser
Introducing my current adventure vehicle, a 1986 Toyota FJ62 Landcruiser.
It was time to go old school again. After owning a new vehicle for the last 2 years & other unexpected life changes, it was time to sell the Fortuner and pick up my grandpa spec 60. Running a thirsty 3F Petrol engine and a 5 Speed Manual gearbox, let’s just say it is a little bit different and taking some getting used to again.
There are some plans in the works with what is happening with the 60, but the end goal is to keep here pretty original in some aspects and go down the line of more of a resto-mod build. I have alwasy loved the look of a 60 for what they are and that is the plans. It will get setup for some level of adventure, but it probably won’t ever be a touring vehicle.
What’s on the cards? I guess you’ll have to wait and see.

After a 2.5hr journey home from the Riverland, SA where it’s known that the 60 had lived most of it’s life it was time to take it down to one of my favourite spots along the coast, Aldinga Beach. These are some shots of the 60 on it’s first day with me.
